Welcome to our September update on the Ohio Materials Marketplace!


We like to keep information fresh and up-to-date in the Materials Marketplace. Listings in the Marketplace now have expiration dates to help prompt users to keep information current.
Follow these quick steps to check to see if any of your listings have expired, and to re-open the listing if the material is still available/wanted:

  1. Hover over your avatar image in the top right corner and go to your profile.

  2. Under the listings section, click "Show Also Closed". Here, you'll see any listings that have expired or been closed by you.

  3. Click on the listing you want to re-open, and in the top right corner of the page, click "Reopen Listing". You may be prompted to update some information before you can re-post.


Here are a few marketplace highlights:

  • We added 11 new members in the month of September.

  • 1094 individual members are now in the marketplace representing 892 companies, organizations, and communities.

  • 9 new material listings.

  • Over 3.7 million pounds diverted from the landfill with over $220,000 in savings to members

Materials Available in the Marketplace:

Clean Single-use PET and PP Laboratory Waste

Typically from sterile packaging for single-use items or refills of commonly used consumables in the scientific laboratory. Can refer to other larger generators of the same waste. Some waste generated may be used in proximity to biological or chemicals in the laboratory and at certain times be exposed to prolonged UV light bulb for sterilization.
